TP_FILTER for DVB2000
This is a "Transponder Filter" for the DVB2000 channel settings file.
That is, for chosen satellite/genre markers, the program finds similar frequencies/SR's and averages them to delete any duplicates, then sorts them into order. So, we make a list of transponders rather than a list of channels.
This can be useful not only for Feed Hunting, but also for some awkward satellites. For example Astra 2 at 28 East keeps changing the way channels are assigned to transponders, so it may be useful to make a list of transponders, and scan them for free to air channels.
More details
TP_FILTER:-
- Sorts the channels temporarily by Pol/FEC/SR/Freq,
- Finds duplicate channels with similar SR and FREQ (you can set the tolerances) and averages these channels, deleting the duplicates.
- Sorts the channels finally by Freq/Pol/SR/FEC.
- Renames channels as "11125H_06800_3/4" etc.

Ideas for the future?
Perhaps it would be useful to add tick box options to force some settings (for feed hunting)...
- SR=0, FEC=AUTO (eliminates more duplicates, but slower to lock on to channels)
- Service_id=1
- acbw=15 (if SR < 15000 say)
- Auto PMT=on, Auto PID =on
- spcinv=Auto
If I find some rules for PID analysis perhaps it will be useful to write an "intelligent SCSI channel zapper" for feedhunting etc.
