- tomsrtbt. "The most GNU/Linux on 1 floppy disk." Very cool mini-Linux. Boots from diskettte, runs from RAM. Essential now that RedHat's CD won't work as a rescue disk.
- DDD (and other Linux debuggers). Hint: type "ddd" in RedHat to bring up this X-windows front-end to GDB.
- Etnus TotalView debugger. Commercial software with free trial. Might be worth a try if DDD et al don't let you nail a bug.
